Foreign Companies Paid 11.3 Billion UAH in Google Tax in Ukraine
Non-resident companies providing electronic services to Ukrainian users paid 11.3 billion UAH in Google tax to the budget in the first seven months of 2026, which is 1.5 billion UAH more than in the same period last year. Foreign companies transferred 92.8 million euros and 149.4 million dollars in VAT to the budget. The largest taxpayers include Google, Apple, Valve, Meta, Sony, Etsy, and Netflix. Since the beginning of 2026, 18 more non-residents providing electronic services to individuals have registered, bringing the total number of VAT payers to 159. The obligation to register arises if the total amount of transactions for the supply of electronic services over the last 12 months exceeds the equivalent of 1 million UAH. In the first quarter of 2026, international tech giants paid 4.5 billion UAH in VAT on electronic services, which is 28% more compared to the same period last year when the revenue amounted to 3.5 billion UAH.
