The Defense Procurement Agency DOT has contracted over 22,000 ground robotic systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 2026, which is nearly double the volume of purchases from last year. The contracting process is ongoing, and the final number of systems is expected to increase by the end of the year. All purchased systems are produced by Ukrainian enterprises, with most intended for logistics and a smaller portion for engineering and combat tasks. They will be used for delivering ammunition, evacuating the wounded, and reconnaissance. Thousands of units have already been transferred to combat units, with 2,069 systems received through the DOT - Chain Defence platform. In June, these systems completed over 16,600 logistics and evacuation missions, which is 18.6% more than in May and 122% higher than in January. Since the beginning of the year, the ministry has codified 67 new models of robotic systems for use in the troops, allowing for the replacement of personnel in combat zones.
