CZ's One-Click Triple Action Boosts 16-Year-Old's On-Chain CPU Project

Over the weekend, CZ's one-click triple action (like, comment, follow) brought a protocol called TapeOut, launched by a 16-year-old developer, into the spotlight.
On August 15, a developer named Blonskr announced the creation of an on-chain CPU on the BNB Chain, naming it Behemoth and claiming, "This is my small step, but a giant leap for BNB Chain." Initially, the announcement did not create much buzz in the community until the next day when CZ commented and followed this developer, setting the wheels of fate in motion...
TapeOut: Infrastructure for On-Chain Hardware Manufacturers, Mint Token Returns Have Increased 18 Times
The on-chain CPU Behemoth, praised by CZ, was designed using the protocol TapeOut Protocol launched by Blonskr. He positions it as the infrastructure for on-chain hardware manufacturers. Although it sounds flashy, this protocol does not create any new asset types or protocol standards; it essentially remains an EVM mining game model, just with the gameplay being "circuit design."
The TapeOut protocol features two types of assets: a multi-token standard ERC-1155 and NFTs (ERC-721). Burning ERC-1155 tokens can generate NFT miners. Currently, the protocol is still in its early stages, and NFT miners cannot yet produce new tokens, although Blonskr claims this gameplay is already in design.
In the worldview of TapeOut, "one token is a transistor." To simulate real circuit design, transistors (tokens) are divided into NAND gates and LATCH triggers. To assemble a circuit, users need to mint or purchase these two types of tokens. After arranging and dragging these transistors to form a circuit on TapeOut's circuit canvas, clicking "flow chip on-chain" will mint the circuit NFT, which users can view in their holdings.

These NFTs are also categorized into different collections, and minting circuit NFTs from different collections requires different transistor tokens. Users can also issue their own NFT collections, specifying the number of NFTs, the number of transistors required for minting, and the price for minting transistors. Currently, the most popular circuit NFT collections are Behemoth and TapeOut, launched by Blonskr himself.
The official NFT trading market has not yet been launched, but a transistor token trading market has been established, utilizing a DEX on-chain order book. Both Behemoth and TapeOut's transistors have been fully minted, so if one wants to acquire Behemoth and TapeOut transistors, they can only be purchased on the secondary market.
As shown in the image below, in the official transistor trading market, the price of Behemoth (Blonskr_No1) NAND transistors has risen to 0.0085 BNB, a 17-fold increase from the mint price (0.0005 BNB), and the price of its LATCH transistors has also increased 13 times. Synthesizing circuit NFTs will destroy transistor tokens, but the market is currently primarily speculating on the prices of transistor tokens, while the synthesized circuit NFTs have not yet seen price speculation.
According to official data, TapeOut's trading volume in the last 24 hours reached 1300 BNB, approximately 800,000 USD.
Overall, TapeOut resembles a circuit design mini-game, offering some fun but lacking high playability. For pure liberal arts students or players lacking knowledge of electronic circuits, there is still a comprehension barrier, and assembling circuits often leaves them at a loss, requiring AI-assisted learning.
A 16-Year-Old Idealist?
Thus, the TapeOut project is not particularly complex; it merely overlays some knowledge about CPUs and circuit design, creating a comprehension barrier. The future development of TapeOut is also foreseeable, likely entering the narrative of on-chain mining machines. For seasoned players in the crypto space, on-chain mining machines are nothing new. Despite the variety of variants and gameplay, the essence remains the same: buying NFT miners to mine tokens, with investors calculating the payback period. The key for project operators is to manage the token deflation mechanism and market prices effectively.
According to KOL Wang Dayou, Blonskr is a 16-year-old developer who previously focused on developing small applications. Compared to most of his peers, Blonskr stands out. He resembles an idealistic youth stepping into the crypto world, possessing a strong curiosity about the on-chain realm. Although TapeOut is not exquisite, it is his "creation" completed in his own way at this age.
For a 16-year-old who has not yet fully disillusioned with the world, gaining CZ's attention is already a source of pride. After all, there have been others who became princes due to CZ's attention and comments. However, once TapeOut enters the financialization stage, it means that some will profit from it while others will incur losses.
At that time, whether Blonskr can withstand the anger and accusations of those who lose money in the crypto space, and whether he can maintain his idealism during this unexpectedly mainstream journey, remains a concern.
