Russian Missile Destroys Terminal Autonomy Factory in Kyiv
A Russian ballistic missile has destroyed the factory of the American company Terminal Autonomy in Kyiv, which produced strike drones for Ukraine. This may be the first instance where Russia has deliberately targeted a production facility of an American company on Ukrainian territory. Terminal Autonomy specializes in the production of high-precision strike drones that are resistant to Russian electronic warfare systems. The company's technology allows for the control of the kamikaze drone to be transferred to an artificial intelligence system during the final stage of flight. The company was registered in Delaware in 2023 and develops munitions and targeting systems with artificial intelligence used by the Ukrainian military. There were no casualties as a result of the missile strike. Former senior U.S. intelligence official Anthony Vinci noted that it does not matter to Russia who owns the enterprise if it produces military products. He also warned of a potential threat to localized production of American weapon systems.
