Ripple Forms Partnership with Jeonbuk Bank to Create Digital Financial Ecosystem
Ripple has signed a strategic partnership with Jeonbuk Bank of JB Financial Group to create a next-generation digital financial ecosystem. The signing ceremony on the 18th was attended by Fiona Murray, Ripple's Asia Pacific lead, and Park Chun-won, the president of Jeonbuk Bank. Through this partnership, the two companies will promote comprehensive cooperation on key agendas, including the introduction of an innovative cross-border payment system. Jeonbuk Bank will be the first domestic bank to implement Ripple's 'Ripple Payments', enabling real-time payments in seconds, surpassing the complex intermediary processes of the existing SWIFT network. This will provide fast, transparent, and cost-effective remittance services to clients such as import and export companies, IT startups, and online content creators. Park Chun-won emphasized that this partnership will be a driving force for Jeonbuk Bank's growth. Fiona Murray stated that Jeonbuk Bank's adoption of Ripple Payments will bring significant progress to the Korean financial ecosystem as the first bank to do so.
