HIP-3 Trading Volume Exceeds $525 Billion, Japanese and Korean Stock Markets Close Lower
The cumulative trading volume of HIP-3 has surpassed $525 billion. The Japanese and Korean stock markets closed lower, with the Nikkei 225 index dropping over 2%. Daily funding fees are approximately $460,000, and short sellers of Changxin Storage have accumulated losses nearing $10 million. Positions exceed 4.81% of the total supply of ETH, with Tom Lee's Bitmine purchasing $18.9 million in ETH over the past week. SoftBank plans to issue $6.3 billion in retail bonds, marking the largest issuance in Japanese corporate history. Rising bond yields are putting pressure on the market, leading to the end of a five-day winning streak for the Korean stock market. The number of Tether users has surpassed 650 million, with plans to expand AI tools into emerging markets. Japan's largest bank, MUFG, has increased its holdings by 53,400 shares, bringing the total value to $35 million. Sumitomo Mitsui stated that fiscal discipline and the Bank of Japan's interest rate hikes are key to curbing the yen's weakness. Nvidia is offering "backstop financing," and bond king Jeff Gundlach points out that the market may be nearing a peak.
