Ark Invest Increases Holdings in SpaceX, Circle After Q2 Earnings
SpaceX and Circle are among Cathie Wood's largest investments, according to an Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK) holdings report. SpaceX is ARKK's fifth-largest holding, valued at nearly 282 million dollars, with a 4.73% portfolio weighting. Circle ranks eighth at about 233 million dollars, accounting for 3.90% of the fund. Ark's latest trading disclosure shows the firm added to both holdings after the companies reported second-quarter earnings. It purchased 181,830 SpaceX shares across four ETFs, including ARKK, and 273,343 Circle shares across ARKK and two other funds, worth approximately 20 million dollars and 17.3 million dollars, respectively. Circle reported 701 million dollars in second-quarter revenue, up 7% year-over-year, with adjusted EBITDA rising 8% to 143 million dollars. USDC circulation reached 73.3 billion dollars, up 19%, while on-chain transaction volume climbed 151% to 14.8 trillion dollars. SpaceX shares fell 13.6% despite a 92% increase in quarterly revenue to 7.8 billion dollars, as investors focused on 18.4 billion dollars in capital expenditures for expanded AI capabilities. This follows Ark's recent rebalancing of several crypto-related holdings.
