UK FCA Reaches Settlement with HTX
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has reached a settlement with HTX (formerly Huobi), securing a commitment from the UK High Court that HTX must not knowingly promote cryptocurrency asset services to UK consumers, either directly or indirectly, in an illegal manner. Following the initiation of the lawsuit, HTX has taken steps to exit the UK market, with UK users unable to continue making deposits and new users unable to register. The FCA filed a lawsuit against HTX in October 2025, accusing it of violating financial promotion regulations. This settlement does not imply that HTX admits to any wrongdoing or illegal activity.
