Anthropic Acquires $3.4 Billion Gas Power Equipment
Prefer us on GoogleAnthropic has reached a deal with equipment supplier OnePWR Solutions in San Antonio, Texas, to purchase gas generators for $3.4 billion, acquiring 1.7 gigawatts of heavy-duty generators. The deal also includes the engineering and construction capabilities necessary for the installation of the generators. Anthropic did not acquire OnePWR, and no employees from OnePWR are transferring to Anthropic. Two years ago, OnePWR ordered generators from Caterpillar but needed financing to complete the transaction. Anthropic initially planned to become a customer of OnePWR but later chose to take over the equipment ordered from Caterpillar.
