Honor Robot Lightning Sets 100-Meter Record at 9.32 Seconds, Breaking Human World Record
On August 22, the Honor team's robot "Lightning" completed the 100-meter test at the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games, recording a time of 9.32 seconds with a peak speed of 14.5 meters per second, breaking the previous human world record of 9.58 seconds. This year's games are held in Beijing, co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government and China Central Television, featuring a total of 50 events. Compared to the first edition, this year's games have stricter requirements; aside from the 100-meter and 400-meter obstacle races, all other events must be completed autonomously, with the completion times for the three racing events reduced to 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 15 minutes, respectively. The Honor team's Lightning will participate in the 100-meter, 400-meter large group, and 1500-meter racing events, with competitions running from the preliminary rounds on the evening of August 22 to the finals on August 26.
