The connectors not only fetch information but also perform tasks from the connected accounts, requiring service-specific permissions. By setting up automation features, Grok can execute tasks automatically. The Gmail connector provides email search, draft creation, and sending capabilities, while the Google Calendar connector includes schedule viewing and creation features. The Outlook connector also requires permissions necessary for email and calendar management. xAI specifies that the connected data will not be used for model training, and in enterprise services, administrators control the connection process.
