Google has begun offering eligible college students a one-year free subscription to Google AI. College students in the United States can access Google AI Pro, originally priced at $19.99 per month, which includes four times the usage quota of Gemini, 5TB of storage, and Gemini Spark. College students in over 140 countries outside the U.S. can receive Google AI Plus, which provides double the Gemini quota of the free version and 400GB of storage. To obtain the free subscription, students must verify their student status and link a payment method, with the offer valid until December 31, 2026. If the subscription is not canceled after the free period ends, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription. Users in the U.S. whose Pro trial expires in 2025 can reapply this year.
