Aptos Enhances USDC Receiving Path with CCTP V2

By: www.tokenpost.kr|2026/08/29 01:38:20

Aptos has improved its native USDC receiving path by integrating Circle's cross-chain transfer protocol CCTP V2. This upgrade transitions the existing CCTP path to the V2 system, marking not the first USDC support for Aptos. On August 26, Aptos announced that 'CCTP V2 is live on Aptos.' CCTP V2 offers inbound fast transfers, hooks, universal messaging, and relay support features. As a result, native USDC coming into Aptos from other chains can be received more quickly. However, Aptos is included as the destination chain, and the originating chain for fast transfers is marked as 'N/A.' CCTP burns USDC on the originating chain and issues the same amount on the destination chain. Aptos's native USDC support began last year, and it was announced that CCTP would be operational on the Aptos network by January 30, 2025. Circle has stated that it will begin reducing support for CCTP V1 legacy on October 31, 2026, completing it by December 1. DeFi services are emphasizing automation features after arrival, and short-term price reactions have been limited. The closing price of APT rose approximately 0.5% from $0.570917 on August 26 to $0.573706 on August 27.
