World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has appointed Ryan Ballantyne, who led the institutional client strategy division at Coinbase, as its Chief Business Officer. Ballantyne will oversee WLFI's global business strategy and partnerships. WLFI announced Ballantyne's joining in an official post on X. He has experience supporting the introduction of digital asset finance, trading, and custody solutions for publicly listed companies and institutional clients at Coinbase. This appointment is seen as part of WLFI's efforts to expand its engagement with institutional and corporate clients, reinforcing its leadership in business partnerships and client relations. WLFI is a project that emphasizes the intersection of DeFi and traditional finance, with an initial supply of 100 billion WLFI tokens proposed. The institutional client business involves a complex interplay among exchanges, custodians, payment infrastructure, and data providers. Ballantyne's previous experience is noteworthy as it relates to corporate finance, digital asset custody, and discussions on stablecoin payment infrastructure in South Korea.
