Two Companies Awarded UAH 19.6 Billion in Military Food Contracts
In 2026, the two largest suppliers of food for the Ukrainian military, "Busky Canning Plant" and "Trade Granite Invest," accounted for approximately UAH 19.6 billion in contracts. The total maximum value of contracts for food supply as of July 27, 2026, amounted to about UAH 40.3 billion, meaning that nearly half of the total contract portfolio belongs to these two companies. Seven largest suppliers received contracts worth about UAH 37.2 billion, which constitutes over 92% of the surveyed volume. These companies not only supply their own products but also provide the entire catalog of 360 items, including meat, milk, bread, fish, fruits, chocolate, and spices. They operate as major trade and logistics operators, sourcing products from various manufacturers. The stated amounts represent the maximum value of contracts, not the funds already paid. Military units order products according to current needs, so actual payments may be lower. Contracts can also be terminated early, as happened with "Cherkasy Meat Processing Plant" and "Yusmak" in March and early April. In 2026, the total need for army food is estimated at about UAH 40 billion.
