Trump Announces U.S. Arms Stockpiles and Aid to Ukraine
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States has significant stockpiles of weapons that continue to grow. He noted that part of these reserves was used to assist Ukraine during Joe Biden's administration, but currently, the stockpiles are being replenished. Trump commented on the additional budget request of $21 billion to replenish the reserves, emphasizing the ongoing need for new weapons. He pointed out the necessity of maintaining an adequate level of military resources. Trump also mentioned that during Biden's administration, a large amount of American weaponry was transferred to Ukraine free of charge. The President added that the U.S. possesses various types of weapons and ammunition in large quantities, although some items require regular replenishment. Production and restoration of stockpiles continue daily. It was previously reported that Ukraine, in collaboration with the American company Raytheon, will produce interceptors for the Patriot systems, which is an important step in the country's air defense. However, launching such production may take at least a year or more, which does not address the missile shortage problem in the short term.
