Strategy Secures $20.9 Billion in U.S. Stock Issuance, Ranking Fourth
Strategy (MSTR) has been reported to secure $20.9 billion (approximately 28.19 trillion KRW) in the U.S. stock issuance market in 2026, making it the fourth largest company in terms of capital raised. The company joins the ranks of major issuers such as SpaceX, Alphabet, and Intel. CEO Fon Lee revealed this information through a chart on September 3. The funds will be used for purchasing BTC, repurchasing preferred shares, dividend resources, and ensuring cash liquidity, rather than for factory expansions or mergers and acquisitions. According to the SEC 8-K filing, Strategy secured $608 million (approximately 813.2 billion KRW) through the ATM method from August 24 to 30, of which $369.7 million (approximately 498.6 billion KRW) was used for BTC purchases. During the same period, Strategy purchased 4,603 BTC at an average price of $80,318, and as of August 30, the total holdings amounted to 840,550 BTC, with a total acquisition cost of $63.73 billion (approximately 85.98 trillion KRW). The company's dollar reserves were confirmed to be $5.1 billion (approximately 6.88 trillion KRW), with cash holdings of $1.61 billion (approximately 2.17 trillion KRW). According to S&P Global Market Intelligence, the total amount of new U.S. stock issuance in the first half of 2026 is estimated to be $307.7 billion (approximately 415.87 trillion KRW). Strategy's capital raising method involves repeated issuances, selling common stock in the market and using the proceeds for BTC purchases and managing preferred shares.
