Ripple Launches Delta One Service for Derivatives in the U.S.

Ripple, the issuer of the cryptocurrency XRP, launched its Delta One service within Ripple Prime, its multi-asset brokerage platform, on August 27, 2026. This service allows for the trading of financial derivatives linked to the U.S. stock market, including stocks, indices, and cryptocurrencies, aimed at institutional investors. Delta One enables financial entities to execute financial swaps or total return swaps. Unlike retail trading platforms, Ripple Prime focuses exclusively on the institutional sector, catering to organizations that manage large volumes of capital. Users interact with a single counterparty and can continuously manage their margins. Ripple asserts that its execution model avoids conflicts of interest, operating solely on compensation and financing flow. With this offering, Ripple directly competes with Wall Street giants like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, as well as digital asset firms like FalconX and Coinbase Prime, differentiating itself by not taking proprietary positions against its clients. This integration follows Ripple's strategic moves, including investments in ZILO and Licuido to expand tokenization infrastructure and a partnership with Jeonbuk Bank to process cross-border payments.
