Nvidia Rubin Ultra Features 192GB HBM4 with Significantly Reduced Capacity

Nvidia Rubin Ultra will feature 192GB of HBM4 8-hi memory, significantly down from the initially previewed 1TB HBM, which is lower than the 288GB capacity of the standard Rubin version. The HBM configuration has been reduced to about one-fifth of the original, due to the cancellation of the four-die Rubin Ultra scheme, reducing the number of cubes to 8, with the stacking height decreased from 16-hi to 8-hi, and utilizing 24Gb dies of HBM4 instead of 32Gb dies of HBM4E. An upgraded version with 8-hi HBM4E may be released in the future.
