Meat Exports Reach 3.464 Billion Dollars in 2026
Argentinian animal protein exports reached 3.464 billion dollars between January and July 2026, the highest amount in a decade for that period. This result is attributed to improvements in the meat complexes and growth in markets such as China and the United States. The exported value increased by 35% compared to the first seven months of 2025. The beef complex led the growth with a year-on-year expansion of 37%, while the pork sector saw an increase of 111%. Beef generated revenues of 2.768 billion dollars, with an exported volume of 403,100 tons, reflecting a 6.7% increase in volume and a 41.8% increase in value compared to the previous year. In July, the average export price of beef reached 7,123 dollars per ton, 27.5% higher than the previous year. China was the main destination, accounting for 59.8% of the exported volume, while exports to the United States grew by 202.6%, reaching 67,118 tons. Sales to the European Union also grew nearly 20% year-on-year, reaching 5.191 billion dollars.
