Japan's core machinery orders in June increased by 9.7% compared to the previous month. This marks a rebound from a 12.4% decline in May, indicating an improvement in leading indicators that reflect corporate capital investment trends. The Cabinet Office's Economic and Social Research Institute announced that private core machinery orders rose by 9.7% on a seasonally adjusted basis in June. The market expectation was a 7.8% increase. Overall machinery orders increased by 0.4% from the previous month, and while the monthly core orders rebounded significantly, the overall increase in orders was relatively modest.
