Hetmantsev Registers Bill on Voluntary Pension Funds
Danilo Hetmantsev has submitted a bill titled "On Voluntary Pension Funds" for registration. As of the end of the first quarter of 2026, the assets of non-state pension funds amounted to approximately 7.6 billion UAH, with the number of participants reaching 889.2 thousand people, of which 92.5 thousand are receiving pension payments. The bill aims to create a reliable system of voluntary pension savings, focusing on protecting the interests of participants and ensuring transparency in the management of funds. The project includes strengthening the protection of participants' rights, clear accountability for pension companies, implementing modern standards of corporate governance, and investing assets with long-term interests in mind. Hetmantsev noted that the development of voluntary pension provision is important for the state, as the accumulated funds can become an internal investment resource for the economy. Earlier, the National Securities Commission presented a concept for a new bill intended to reform the system of non-state pension provision. As of July 1, 2026, there were 9.98 million pensioners in Ukraine, with an average pension of 7273 UAH.
