H100 Rental Prices to Rise by 40% After October 2025

The one-year rental contract price for NVIDIA's H100 has increased by approximately 40%, rising from $1.70 in October 2025 to $2.35 in March 2026. As the use of AI expands from training to inference, supply bottlenecks and price disparities in the GPU rental market are widening. DigitalOcean announced that it will adjust the on-demand pricing and 12-month reservation prices for some GPU droplets starting August 1. According to the Silicon Data Index on August 3, the rental price for the H100 was reported at $2.78 on NeoCloud and $7.18 on hyperscalers. With the increasing demand for AI models, it is analyzed that a single user may require 10 to 100 times more compute from the latest tools. The impact of rising GPU rental prices on distributed compute token prices or mining profitability may vary depending on contract duration, region, and availability. According to analysis by Jera, the price range for the H100 has widened up to 18 times, and the GPU rental market remains fragmented.
