French regulators warn: Cryptocurrency companies without EU approval will face prosecution

France's top market regulator warns cryptocurrency companies that if they do not obtain an EU operating license by the end of June, they may be blacklisted and prosecuted.

According to the EU cryptocurrency regulation (MiCA), cryptocurrency companies must obtain a license by June 30 to continue operating in the EU. European regulators have previously warned that unlicensed companies need to develop an "orderly exit plan."
