Shareholder Interest in Starship and Space Exploration Ahead of SpaceX's First Quarterly Earnings Report
SpaceX is set to announce its first quarterly earnings report since going public, and shareholders are showing greater interest in the Starship and space exploration plans than in the company's financial performance. According to Reuters, SpaceX has introduced a platform for shareholders to submit questions directly and prioritize them through recommendations ahead of the earnings announcement. The topic that garnered the most interest from shareholders was the development of the Starship Human Landing System (HLS) for NASA's Artemis program. Investors asked about the release of HLS development videos and the timeline for the completion of rocket booster recovery technology. Some shareholders even suggested painting the rocket pink. Additionally, proposals were made regarding the utilization of the recently unveiled Shiba Inu character 'Asteroid.' SpaceX allocated about 30% of the total offering amount to individual investors during its IPO, which is the highest proportion among recent large IPOs in the U.S. Questions about AI investments and Starlink profitability received relatively less interest, and one investor quoted CEO Musk's remarks to pose a question about a future where the importance of money diminishes, but did not receive any recommendations.
