Espresso Implements 0.24-Second Confirmation Time and Prepares for Mainnet Launch
Espresso has achieved a final confirmation time of approximately 0.24 seconds on the Decaf testnet and has moved to the stage of preparing for mainnet deployment. Achieving sub-second finality means that transactions or blocks are confirmed in less than one second. The Decaf testnet operates in an environment with the same node geographic distribution as the mainnet, and the current confirmation time is about 0.24 seconds. The Espresso team is working to reduce the performance gap between the testnet and the mainnet. The next step is to transfer the performance targets confirmed on the testnet to the mainnet. Espresso provides shared sequencing and fast finality infrastructure for rollups, and the process of quickly confirming transaction order and data availability is crucial. This update is expected to impact the speed competition of rollup infrastructure. Espresso's 0.24-second confirmation time is close to the infrastructure performance metric, and the mainnet performance may vary depending on actual operating conditions. The Espresso Foundation has strengthened the market base for liquid staking token transactions, and this performance improvement focuses on network confirmation speed and readiness for the mainnet transition.
