Bitcoin Hashrate Rises 7.3%, Mining Costs Remain a Burden
The Bitcoin (BTC) network has seen its hashrate increase from 853 EH/s to 915 EH/s. This rebound follows a recent period where the hashrate confirmed a low around 850 EH/s. CoinWarz reported the hashrate at 853 EH/s on the 7th, while the figure rose to 904 EH/s on the 8th. Maketo recorded the hashrate at 945 EH/s on the same day. The hashrate represents the total computational power that miners contribute to Bitcoin mining, which can vary based on block generation speed and difficulty. An increase in hashrate indicates a rise in the network's proof-of-work computational load; however, the profitability for mining companies must be assessed by considering electricity costs, mining equipment efficiency, Bitcoin prices, and network difficulty. CryptoBriefing analyzed that the Bitcoin hashrate is expected to reach approximately 1.15 ZH/s by October 2025, with the current figure being about 20% lower. The burden of mining costs persists, and there have been instances where hashrate dropped by about 20% due to winter storms in the U.S. in early 2026, which led to the shutdown of some mining facilities and an increase in electricity prices. The competition for power with AI data centers is adding additional pressure on mining companies, and mining difficulty is adjusted approximately every 2016 blocks. If the hashrate rebound continues, the next difficulty adjustment may lower the mining burden; however, if the hashrate increases, the adjustment range may be limited.

Apple Foldable Event Nears | WEEX TradFi Daily(September 9, 2026)
Global markets are focused on Apple’s fall product event, firmer energy prices, and the renewed valuation pressure on risk assets. Apple shares retreated ahead of the launch as investors weighed foldable-device pricing, on-device AI monetization, and potential sell-the-news volatility. Energy equities benefited from supply-risk repricing, which also reinforced sticky-inflation concerns and a higher-for-longer rates narrative. In crypto, bitcoin eased toward the mid-$78,000 range; although spot ETF inflows remain supportive, positioning has turned more defensive in the face of rising hike expectations. After the close, AeroVironment earnings and Apple’s product details could shape the next move across tech and thematic trades.
