According to Criptovaluta.it, Italy's Banca Sella has announced that it has completed the notification procedure to the Bank of Italy and will become the first bank in Italy to operate cryptocurrency business in compliance with the EU MiCA regulations. The bank plans to launch digital asset custody and transfer services to a specific client group by the end of 2026.
Banca Sella is also one of the founding members of the Qivalis alliance, which currently brings together 37 European banks dedicated to launching a stablecoin pegged to the euro.
