Arthur Hayes Opposes CLARITY Act and Predicts BTC at $500,000
Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, opposed the CLARITY Act and argued for President Trump's veto. He stated that the key variables affecting Bitcoin's price are the liquidity of fiat currencies and the monetary supply of the Federal Reserve, rather than the legislation itself. Hayes emphasized that Bitcoin does not rely on specific regulatory bills and will not need to in the future. The CLARITY Act is a legislative proposal aimed at structuring the digital asset market and regulatory jurisdiction, and Hayes argued that this bill could serve as a means to erect regulatory barriers rather than provide substantial help to the cryptocurrency industry. He believes that if liquidity is released, Bitcoin will surpass its all-time high again, and it is only a matter of time. Hayes projected that BTC could reach $126,000 by the end of the year, but this is conditional on a drop to $35,000, which could create a buying opportunity. He claimed that if the Fed supplies liquidity and BTC breaks through $120,000, it could rapidly rise to $500,000. Additionally, Hayes mentioned Ethereum, suggesting that if BTC reaches $200,000, the target range for ETH would be between $20,000 and $30,000.
