Anthropic Could Surpass SpaceX in the Largest IPO of 2026
Anthropic is advancing in the race to become the largest IPO of 2026, according to prediction markets. The artificial intelligence company is preparing for a potential IPO that could make it one of the most valuable on Wall Street. Its strong revenue growth is a key factor; it reached a valuation of $965 billion in a $65 billion funding round in May. Investors project an even higher valuation for its debut, estimating between $2 trillion and $3 trillion, surpassing the $1.77 trillion valuation with which SpaceX began trading in June. Anthropic has seen a significant increase in its annualized revenue, rising from approximately $9 billion in 2025 to $47 billion in May 2026, with revenue projections of between $100 billion and $120 billion by the end of 2026. Although SpaceX, with its IPO priced at $135 per share and an initial valuation of $1.77 trillion, still has the advantage, the gap is closing. In July, SpaceX had an 88% chance of being the largest IPO, compared to 13% for Anthropic. If Anthropic achieves an offering close to $2 trillion or more, it could not only compete with SpaceX but also become the largest IPO in history.
