Jamie Coutts, a crypto market analyst, stated that the market requires opposing views, defending Mike McGlone, a Senior Commodity Analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, who has faced criticism for his bearish stance on Bitcoin. Coutts noted that McGlone had supported Bitcoin even before Coutts joined Bloomberg as a crypto analyst and was among the early predictors in 2019 that stablecoins would become a significant trend. He emphasized that McGlone was more bullish in the past compared to his current outlook and argued that a market cannot exist without the free exchange of differing opinions. McGlone recently suggested that Bitcoin could decline toward its long-term average of around 10000 dollars.

Bitcoin tore through the mid-$60,000s, cleared $70,000, blew past $75,000, and briefly touched $79,000+ before easing back to around $77,000 — a 20%+ move in a single week.
